Single Origin coffees are unblended gourmet coffees from a single country, region and crop. Sometimes referred to as varietal coffees, they have positive characteristics that distinguish them from coffees in other regions, i.e. Kenyan vs. Colombian coffees.
These coffees are usually eponymous, in that the country name or region name is used to identify the coffee.
These gourmet coffees represent the purest example of the flavors of each of these regions.
